WOWI at RCGP

Liz and I decided to make new pieces about ourselves and family members. Liz’s father Alan, cured of his stomach ulcer, inspired the Helicobacter treatment at the centre of our ‘Infection’ wowi flower. I aimed to present how mum Peggotty coped with back ache and auto immune hepatitis in 'My Mother Wore a Corset’. Loss and bereavement echoed through that installation but I think the autobiographical 'Susan and the Apples’ illustrates the healing power of talking treatments and psychotherapy.
